🔼 Kick Off. Are you ready for Gamecock football? Game times are set for the first three clashes of the season. South Carolina will open the 2024 season against Old Dominion on August 31 at 4:15pm ET at Williams-Brice Stadium. The following weekend, South Carolina opens SEC play on the road against Kentucky at 3:30pm ET in a nationally-televised contest on ABC. Finally, the SEC home opener is slated for September 14 against LSU at noon ET.

🔼 Have Faith. It’s been a long road for Gamecock catcher/DH Dalton Reeves. Reeves, whose high school recruitment didn’t generate much fanfare, has stepped into a critical role for South Carolina. For Reeves, his journey was one of faith — and that’s what gives him such a strong foundation.

🔼 Capping Off A Career. South Carolina softball’s Alana Vawter earned Third Team All-American honors, the second time she’s earned NFCA All-American recognition during her career. Vawter became the first Gamecock to earn All-American honors since 2021 when Mackenzie Boesel received recognition. Vawter went 17-13, posting the highest win total for a pitcher since 2018.

🔼 Breakout The Brooms. It’s a clean sweep for JaMeesia Ford! South Carolina Track & Field’s freshman phenom swept the SEC Women’s Freshman Runner of the Year Award for the outdoor season after winning the same honor during the indoor season. She’s the second female Gamecock to sweep the two awards, joining Olympic gold medalist Lashinda Demus.
