Forever To Thee. Kip Bouknight’s No. 14 will forever hang at Founders Park after the legendary pitcher’s jersey retirement ceremony.

🔼 How Sweet It Is. Gamecock men’s tennis is on to the Sweet 16! South Carolina defeated South Carolina State on Friday, then Florida State on Saturday, giving the team a 21-6 record on the season. The Gamecocks take on Tennessee in the Sweet 16.

🔼 Speed Demon. Just in case you forgot that incoming freshman Nyckoles Harbor is fast fast, catch him running in the Puma East Coast International Showcase, where he grabbed a first-place finish in the 100m final with a time of 10.28.
🔼 Regional Ready. Gamecock women’s golf is ready to open the NCAA Regionals this morning in Georgia. South Carolina is the top seed in the Athens region; the top-five teams after 54 holes of play will move on to the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale.
🔼. Finish Strong. South Carolina wrapped up the weekend in style with a 4-2 win over No. 4 Tennessee. Using a three-run seventh inning, the Gamecocks picked up their ninth win over a Top-25 team this season and their first win over a team ranked in the top-five since 2021. The win marks the end of regular season conference play with the SEC Tournament up next!

🔼 ICYMI. Gamecock women’s hoops added another transfer in Northwest Florida State College’s Sakima Walker! The 2023 NJCAA D1 Player of the Year joins South Carolina after leading the Raiders to the NJCAA national title. Walker dominated the tournament, averaging 19.1 points and 8.7 boards per game with three double-doubles.
“She scores, she rebounds, and defends the rim,” Coach Staley said of the squad’s newest addition. “Gamecock Nation is going to love her 6-5 frame deepening our post crew and she’ll block shots, too!”
🔼 On Point. Coach Lamont Paris likes where Gamecock men’s basketball is going when it comes to the point. With the addition of Minnesota’s Ta’Lon Cooper and more experience for some of South Carolina’s younger players, Coach Paris is excited about having several players who can play the position and play it well.
“The game has changed. It’s fun to say that or ask who’s going to be your quarterback or whatever position in any sport,” he said of having multiple players at the point. “If you look in the NBA, you’re going to find a hard time finding a team that does not have two guys who were full-time point guards when they were in college.”
