🔼 Best In The World. A’ja Wilson’s teammates have nothing but incredible things to say about our superstar. On A’ja, the Aces’ Kate Martin recently said: “…you know, I’m sitting next to the best player in the world. And not only is she the best player in the world, she’s the best leader I’ve ever been around.”

🔼 Gamecocks In The WNBA. And speaking of A’ja, it’s time for our weekly roundup of Gamecocks in the WNBA. Last week, A’ja became the first player in WNBA history with at least 35 points, 10 boards, and five steals in a game. Then, she set a WNBA record with at least 28 points and nine boards in five straight games. And then she set a WNBA record for the most consecutive games with at least 20 points. Is there anything she can’t do?

Meanwhile, Allisha Gray became the Atlanta Dream’s leading scorer on the season; she had 16 and 14-point efforts against New York and Chicago last week. Kamilla Cardoso made her first career start for the Chicago Sky, posting 13 points and five boards against the Dream. Ty Harris scored in double figures in both of the Connecticut Sun’s games last week, while Tiffany Mitchell is now the Sun’s leading scorer off the bench. Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever played just one game last week with Boston notching 10 points and six boards.

🔼 Tennis Tour. Toby Samuel is going on tour! Samuel will participate in the ATP Challenger Tour, earning eight guaranteed main draw spots at the 50 and 75 tournaments.

🔼 Going Pro. South Carolina women’s soccer has a storied tradition of producing incredible pro talent. Just look at this roundup of our former Gamecocks competing at the next level!
