Today: See you at Wimbledon, draft night, and more.
Good morning. PhotoShop AI was on point this week when Gamecock women’s basketball asked a very important question.
What else are we stirring into today’s Brew? ⤵️

Spring Fling. Earlier this week, we brought you the best in Gamecocks Access from our fall sports and today, we’re rounding up the Top 5 spring pieces in the same category!
No. 5: Mic’d up featuring Natalie Morgan: Grab a front-row seat and go behind the scenes to watch Gamecock softball get a win over nationally-ranked LSU as we mic up transfer senior Natalie Morgan. (Go ahead and spend a few minutes mic’d up with Jack Mahoney, too!)
No. 4: Mic’d up with Spencer Rattler: Spring has sprung as Spencer Rattler and the Gamecocks adjust to a new offense behind OC Dowell Loggains. Bonus: If you love mic’d up football content, we’ve got lots of it, from Coach Loggains and Coach White to Debo Williams and Stephen Garcia!
No. 3: Top Five Tennis Takedown: It's No. 5 versus No. 4 as the Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Columbia to face the Gamecocks in a showdown of two of the best men's tennis programs in the nation. It was a dominating performance from South Carolina, who achieved the highest ranking in program history after the win. Go behind the scenes of the historic takedown.
No. 2: MBB vs. Kentucky: SEC foes don't typically walk into Rupp Arena and take down the Wildcats, let alone go wire-to-wire, but that's exactly what the Gamecocks did for their first win in Lexington in 14 years. Coming off a tough loss to Tennessee at home, South Carolina didn't dwell on the past and used a hot start and great perimeter shooting to get their third win in Rupp Arena in program history.
No. 1: Battle of the Unbeatens: No. 1 versus No. 3. Two unbeaten teams remained in women’s college basketball, but only South Carolina came out of the matchup with an undefeated record and sole possession of first place in the SEC.

🔼 See You At Wimbledon. Gamecock men’s tennis superstars Connor Thomson and Toby Samuel are headed to Wimbledon! The duo earned a Wild Card and will play in Wimbledon’s Doubles Main Draw. Thomson and Samuel were one of five pairs chosen so far to earn a Wild Card in The Championships. Wimbledon gets underway on July 3 with men’s doubles beginning on July 5.
🔼 He Gets Us. South Carolina men's hoops will take on Virginia Tech as part of the “He Gets Us” Hall of Fame series this fall. The Gamecocks and the Hokies will battle in downtown Charlotte on November 10. It’ll mark the first time the two schools have faced off on the court since 1997.
🔼 Welcome Dubem. Wake Forest transfer Dubem Dike will take the pitch for Gamecock women’s soccer this fall. Dike, a native of Greenville, S.C., spent her freshman season at forward with the Demon Deacons before transferring to South Carolina.
“It has always been my dream to go to USC,” Dike said.
🔼 Draft On. The NBA Draft is tonight! Tune in to ESPN to see where GG Jackson lands as he aims to become the first Gamecock drafted since 2017 — and has the potential to be the first player selected from South Carolina in the first round since 2006.
🔼 Rewrite The Rules. “Do you ever watch a game and say, ‘I hate that rule?’ From where I sit, I say that a lot. I do. All the time. If you could change one rule, what would it be?”
That’s the question from Brad Muller in the latest installment of the From Where I Sit series. Read through Brad’s wish list for rule changes, then share your own.
🔼 Countdown: 72. The number of days left until the Gamecocks take the gridiron happens to match the most career field goals made by a kicker in the Garnet & Black. Both Collin Mackie, who kicked from 1987-1990, and Parker White, who did it from 2017-2021, kicked 72 career field goals for the Gamecocks.
🤔 GAMECOCK TRIVIA
