This week’s Freebie Friday is one of our favorites: head into the film room with Spencer Rattler and Juice Wells to break down all the ways the team scored 63 points on the fifth-ranked team in the nation as the Gamecocks knocked off Tennessee.

🔼 To Memphis. GG Jackson became the first Gamecock drafted in the NBA Draft since 2017 last night when the Memphis Grizzlies selected Jackson with the 45th overall pick. We can’t get enough of the custom jacket Jackson wore to honor South Carolina basketball natives!

🔼 Welcome Home. Donnie Gobourne is heading back to Columbia! The superstar pitcher will return to the Gamecocks as a graduate assistant coach after her first season with the OKC Spark wraps up. Listen to Donnie discuss why she decided to come back to Columbia as a coach.

🔼 Total Domination. Speaking of incredible South Carolina pitchers, incoming freshman Sage Mardjetko earned the My Suburban Life Player of the Year Award after she led her high school to consecutive Class 3A championships. Mardjetko didn’t give up an earned run this year while pitching a 24-strikeout no-hitter in the championship game. Read more about the impact she’s already had on her community.

🔼 Beyond The Diamond. Gamecock baseball’s Jacob Compton is heading to Ethiopia this summer on a mission trip.

“It’s a two-week mission trip, and I’m very excited about it,” Compton said. “I’m excited to see what God is going to do over there and in my own heart as well. There will be around twelve of us on the trip from different schools. When you take a step of faith like this overseas, it is a little scary, but at the end of the day, when you do something like this and see what God will do in your own heart and in their hearts, it’s just amazing.”
