🔼 Gamecocks In The WNBA. Let’s check out last week’s highlights from some of our favorite former Gamecocks as they take on the WNBA. Allisha Gray is crushing it for the Dream, averaging 16.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game; she posted 24 in Atlanta’s upset win over the Las Vegas Aces.

Kamilla Cardoso made her highly anticipated WNBA debut last week, dropping 11 points and six rebounds as the Indiana Fever beat the Chicago Sky. And speaking of the Fever, Aliyah Boston is averaging 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this season.

Ty Harris, Tiffany Mitchell, and the Connecticut Sun are out to an 8-0 record. Harris is averaging 10.3 points per game during the Sun’s undefeated start to the season. Finally, A’ja Wilson continues to do A’ja Wilson things, averaging 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Wilson became the first WNBA player to ever post five straight 20-point/10-rebound games.

🔼 Stand Outs. Cole Messina, Dylan Brewer, and Ethan Petry all earned a spot on the All-Regional team after strong weekend performances in Raleigh. Messina hit the game-tying homer on Friday and reached base six times over the weekend, while Brewer hit three total homers, and Petry went 3-for-7 at the plate with a .556 on-base percentage.

🔼 Call It A Comeback. Incoming Gamecock Jana Stojanova is ready to suit up for South Carolina women’s tennis this fall! In the meantime, she posted a huge comeback win over WTA No. 604 Klaudija Bubelyte this morning at the W35 Kursumlijska Bana.

🔼 Time To Soar. It’s almost time for the NCAA Outdoor Championship for Gamecock Track & Field. Twelve student-athletes will compete for a title in 13 different events, and Brad Muller explores the team’s mindset heading into the NCAA Championship.

“This is unfinished business,” said star Dylan Targgart. “We’re never satisfied until we win.”
