🔼 Get Set, Go. Gamecock Track & Field will kick off the NCAA Outdoor Championship in Eugene today! The event will begin with the men’s decathalon starting at 3:30pm ET. All men’s events will be held on Wednesday and Friday, while the women will compete on Thursday and Saturday.
Most of Wednesday and Thursday’s events will be semifinal events, while all field events will be final competitions. Twelve individuals will advance from Wednesday and Thursday track events to the final events on Friday and Saturday. Those who finish in the Top 8 will score points for their teams and earn First Team All-American honors. Full schedule and more details here.
🔼 Upset Time. Former Gamecock men’s tennis superstar Paul Jubb scored a massive win during the Surbiton opening round this week, knocking off the world’s 60th-ranked player, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.
🔼 Player Of The Week. For the 17th time in her pro career, A’ja Wilson is the WNBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week! She averaged 28.5 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks per game, all while posting a 46% field goal percentage.
