🔼 Rookie Impact. Speaking of great moments, rookie Ethan Petry gave us a lot of them — and the baseball world took plenty of note! Petry earned Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American honors ahead of the Gamecocks’ trip to Gainesville. The freshman heads into the next round of postseason play with a jaw-dropping stat line, including a .374 batting average, 75 RBI, 23 homers, and nine doubles.

🔼 Not Normal. It’s Aliyah Boston’s world and we’re all just living in it. As if earning WNBA Rookie of the Month honors for an amazing first month of the season wasn’t enough, Aliyah followed that up with a scorching hot start to June, posting a historic stat line. Her 25-point, 11-rebound effort against Chicago made her the third-youngest player in league history with at least 25 points and ten boards in a game.
WNBA vet and Fever teammate Erica Wheeler said of Aliyah after the game: “Aliyah is not normal. She’s not the normal rookie.”
Hear directly from Aliyah on what she was thinking when she scored the go-ahead basket with just 2.1 seconds left on the clock in regulation.
