Alshon Jeffery left South Carolina as one of the most decorated players in school history. Now he returns to cement his name among legends. The wide receiver's number one will be illuminated next to his name in Williams-Brice Stadium forever. 🔼 Let’s Talk. A sure that sign Gamecock football is right around the corner? SEC Media Days are next week! Coach Beamer will head to Dallas with Luke Doty, Boogie Huntley, and Debo Williams. South Carolina is slated for its Media Days appearance on Monday, July 15.

🔼 Welcome Home. Speaking of football, South Carolina announced the addition of Darren Uscher as the program’s Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting. Uscher, who graduated from the University of South Carolina, recently worked in Oregon where he contributed to building a recent recruiting class that climbed up to No. 3 at one point in the national rankings. 🔼 In Class. It was another successful spring semester in the classroom! 111 South Carolina student-athletes landed on the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll, good for a tie for fourth-highest in the conference. Women’s track & field paved the way with 27 honorees, while Gamecock softball had 17 and men’s track and field rounded out the top three with 16.

🔼 All Eyes. Looking for a freshman wide receiver who could make a big impact in the Garnet & Black? CBS Sports’s David Cobb tabs freshman Mazeo Bennett as one to watch in the SEC, noting: "It is a mostly new cast of characters running, passing and catching the football for South Carolina. That spells opportunity for Bennett, who drew praise for his spring practice performance…his speed has drawn rave reviews."

🔼 Another One. Let’s send another Gamecock to Paris! This time, Anass Essayi punched his ticket to the City of Lights. The South Carolina Track & Field star will represent Morocco in the Olympic Games.
