🔼 Media Days. A sure sign that football season is inching closer? SEC Media Days are right around the corner! Coach Beamer, Spencer Rattler, Tonka Hemingway, and Kai Kroeger will head to Nashville for the July 20 event.

🔼 Track Stars. Silan Ayyildiz isn’t the only Gamecock runner chasing titles. Anass Essayi just ran a career-best 3:32.87 in the 1500m, winning the event at the Meeting de l’Est Lyonnais in France!

Meanwhile, three former Gamecocks came out of the 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships with tickets punched to the World Championships. Quincy Hall, Josh Awotunde, and Makenzie Dunmore all finished within qualifying standards to head to Budapest in late August.

🔼 CB18. Former South Carolina QB Steve Taneyhill is taking his talents from on the field to behind the bar! Tanneyhill has teamed up with a group to purchase Breakers Bar & Grill and Breakers Live in Five Points. Breakers Bar & Grill, which will rebrand as CB18 Bar and Grill, will get a new logo: a drawing of Taneyhill’s iconic 1992 photo as he took a bow toward Clemson fans after driving the Gamecocks to a 24-13 win. Read more about Tanneyhill and his team’s plans for the locations here.
