🔼 Bullish On The Gamecocks. One SEC Network analyst is betting on Coach Beamer and the Gamecocks. When asked which SEC team is most likely to take a huge step forward this season, Jordan Rodgers tabbed South Carolina. Why?

“Because if Spencer can play the way he did at the end of the year, they can be really tough.”

🔼 Hall Of Fame. Eight new Gamecocks will be inducted into the USC Lettermen’s Hall of Fame as the Class of 2023! South Carolina announced the additions of Allison Brennan (swimming & diving), Ernest Dye (football), Eric Ecker (men’s golf), Shaun Gortman (women’s basketball), Wallie Jones (baseball), Chris Mayotte (men’s tennis), Kim Pietro (softball), and Demetria Washington (women’s track & field). The official induction ceremony will take place on October 14 at the South Carolina-Florida football game.

🔼 Conference Predictions. The PFF preseason All-SEC team is here, and it’s loaded with Garnet & Black! Spencer Rattler landed on the second team with Juice Wells, Nick Emmanwori, and Kai Kroeger, while Tonka Hemingway and Mitch Jeter represent on the third team. Check out the full teams here.

🔼 World Rankings. Toby Samuel keeps crushing it on the court. After grabbing the title at the M25 Nottingham this weekend, Samuel now sits at No. 518 in the world rankings — his career best!

🔼 Welcome Home. Men’s soccer head coach Tony Annan announced Nathan Smith will join the Gamecocks as an assistant coach! Smith brings 20 years of experience to Columbia, from academy director to head coach. Read more about Smith and his work here.

🔼 A Superstar. Donnie Gobourne is your Extra Innings Softball 2023 Breakout Star of the Year! Gobourne, who tallied 125 strikeouts in 123 innings in two D1 seasons, earned the honor “for her achievements in the circle and for her efforts in piloting her team to unexpected heights.”
