🔼 Worldwide Hoops. The FIBA Women’s AmeriCup is underway, and Kamilla Cardoso is on the court for Brazil and Raven Johnson is repping the red, white, and blue. Cardoso is off to a hot start for her country; check out her highlights as Brazil beat Venezuela.

And when the two Gamecocks faced off on the court yesterday, Cardoso and Brazil came out victorious, winning 67-54. Johnson tallied eight points and three rebounds for the USA, while Cardoso added 10 points and six boards for Brazil.

Milaysia Fulwiley will wear No. 12 — the most popular number in program history — while Tessa Johnson selected No. 5. “Maybe there are some characteristics on a certain pitch to fit in our bullpen. Maybe their fastball has some outlier characteristics. Or their breaking pitch is very good and we can see them in a role,” Williams said.
