🔼 Welcome Home. Former Gamecock standout Khadijah Sessions is heading back to Columbia! Sessions will join Coach Staley’s staff as an assistant coach.

“There are few people who understand and embody what our program is about like Khadijah,” Coach Staley said. “I can’t wait to watch and help her develop in our sport.”

Sessions had an incredible career in the Garnet & Black, guiding the Gamecocks to three SEC regular-season championships and two SEC tournament titles. She played for the program’s first-ever NCAA Final Four team in 2014-15 before being named captain the next year.

🔼 Perfect Fit. New pitching coach Matt Williams brings an impressive resume to Columbia. Here’s why The State thinks Williams could be the “perfect fit” for the Gamecocks.

🔼 A Legend. Legendy Gamecock coach Curtis Frye announced his retirement in June after 27 years at the helm of South Carolina Track & Field and now he’s reflecting on an impeccable career.

“That’s what the ultimate goal has been: impact every life so those lives impact other lives,” Frye said.

🔼 In The Pros. Congrats to Cam Smith who signed his first NFL contract this week! Smith inked a four-year, $7 million contract with the Miami Dolphins and with the deal in place, all five Gamecocks drafted this season have now signed contracts in the NFL.
