🔺 Preseason Preview. The South Carolina football team officially reports to fall camp today! The first practice is set for tomorrow. Coach Beamer has upgraded the coaching staff and the roster with 20 transfers, 15 freshmen newcomers. Additionally, the Gamecocks return 44 lettermen from last season, including 14 starters. LaNorris Sellers was named the starting quarterback after spring ball. South Carolina boasts one of the toughest schedules in the country and it’ll be a season you won’t want to miss. 🔺 Coming Home. Former Gamecock All-American swimmer Nils Wich-Glasen is back home! He has joined the men’s swimming staff as an assistant coach. He was a five-time All-American and still holds the program record in the 200 breaststroke. He spent last year coaching at Gator Swim Club Seekonk and Bryant University, where he developed periodization training and led breaststroke-specific practices.

🔺 Quite Frankly Amazing. South Carolina men’s golfer Nathan Franks came in at No. 24 in the PGA Tour University’s preseason rankings for the Class of 2025! He picked up two wins last season, averaging a 70.86 score. The rising senior earned All-America Scholar Recognition for the last two seasons.

🔺 Here At Home. The reigning National Champion women’s basketball program has announced five more home games for the 2024-25 season! The UConn Huskies will be coming to Colonial Life Arena on February 16 to highlight the group of games. The Gamecocks will also host East Carolina, USF, Charleston Southern, and Wofford.
