Forever To Thee. Once a Gamecock, always a Gamecock. That mindset proved true when a group of former South Carolina football players came together to help raise awareness for mental illness this summer.

Across a multi-day 7 vs. 7 football tournament, some former greats came as coaches and some even laced up the cleats as the PD3 Foundation provided a platform to advocate for mental health. Go behind the scenes from the impact-making and inspiring event here.

🔼 A No Brainer. We’re just two short days away from a chance to grab the first SC Education Lottery Palmetto Series point when No. 12 South Carolina women’s soccer takes the pitch against No. 25 Clemson on the road on Thursday night.

This season, the Gamecocks will get a huge boost from a strong group of returning veterans on the defensive side of the ball. Read more about why Heather Hinz and Camryn Dixon decided to stick around in Columbia for one more run.

🔼 Preseason Predictions. And speaking of Gamecock women’s soccer, the coaches’ votes are in and South Carolina is predicted to finish third in the SEC after an SEC Tournament championship and overall fourth-place finish in 2022. South Carolina is ranked No. 12 nationally as the season is set to get underway.

🔼 Legacy Forever. Alshon Jeffery will be forever cemented as one of the all-time greats to wear the Garnet & Black. South Carolina announced that Jeffery’s jersey will be retired at halftime of the game against Mississippi State on September 23.

“Alshon Jeffery is one of the best players in Gamecock football history and is deserving of having his jersey retired,” Athletics Director Ray Tanner said. “Alshon set the standard at his position in a program that has developed a number of great wide receivers in its history.”
