🔼 Go With The Flow. South Carolina’s offense will have a better flow under new OC Dowell Loggains when the squad takes the field against North Carolina. Here’s how wide receiver coach Justin Stepp described what’s changed — and what hasn’t — under Coach Loggains:

“A lot of the formations are the same as far as how we call them. It just flows a little better,” Stepp said. “The best thing about him is he thinks about our players. What would hit their brains?… Him keeping a lot of the pass game terminology the same has really helped my guys.”

🔼 Stars, Stripes, And Softball. South Carolina softball transfer Alana Vawter will suit up for Team USA as the squad battles in the Japan All-Star Series. Team USA will play Japan in a three-game series that gets underway today.

Vawter, a right-handed pitcher, comes to Columbia after a standout career with Stanford where she earned All-America honors en route to guiding the Cardinal to an appearance at the Women’s College World Series last season.

🔼 Give Back. Dakereon Joyner is the latest Gamecock to land on a preseason watch list! Joyner earned a spot on the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List ahead of the regular season. The Wuerffel Trophy represents one of college football’s highest honors for student-athletes who give back to their communities.

🔼 Diagnose Guys. Clayton White is loving his linebacker group. South Carolina’s defensive coordinator spoke this week about the progress the linebacker room has made since he got to Columbia.

“The guys we have now are downhill, plug gaps, shoot gaps…they’re tacklers and diagnose guys. I call them GPS linebackers. I like those guys. It’s different. I’m excited,” White said.

Bonus: Take a sneak peek at the linebackers at spring practice with a mic’d up Debo Williams.
