📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Tackle Battle. One of the most interesting battles to watch as the Gamecocks are back at practice is along the offensive line while South Carolina looks to replace four starters from 2022. What’s offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley looking for as the battles shake out?

“We’re going to battle for those tackle spots. We’re going to play. What I’m looking for in terms of separating them, can they be consistent? Are you going to play to how we play? How we play is big for us, so are you going to play the way we want you to play?”

🔼 A Night To Remember. Only one NFL player has ever recorded two sacks in an NFL game against Hall of Famer Joe Thomas. The guy who did it? None other than South Carolina’s John Abraham. This is that story.

🔼 Get Stronger. Sophomore guard Zachary Davis put in some serious work this offseason and his Gamecock men’s basketball teammates are taking note.

“He’s a lot stronger this year. That comes with lifting weights and being in college,” Jacobi Wright said. “The game is slowing down for him. I think he’s definitely going to help us more this year. I’ve seen a huge jump.”

🔼 Fun In The Sun. South Carolina men’s hoops is spending some time in the sunny Bahamas this summer competing against foreign opponents. The Gamecocks beat Zalgiris-2 from Lithuania, 86-60, behind a 20-point effort from Meechie Johnson. But it’s not all business and no play for our guys; the squad hit the beach for some fun in the sun. Check it out here, here, and here.
