🔺 On The Defense. South Carolina women’s soccer season is right around the corner! With a scrimmage in Williams-Brice Stadium and a 1-1 draw against Carolina Ascent FC, the team has had a great week getting back in the swing of things. To add on to a great week, defender Gracie Falla has been named a United Soccer Coaches Player to Watch!

🔺 Rocket Man. South Carolina running back Rocket Sanders has been named to the 2024 Doak Walker Award Watch List! The award goes to college football’s most outstanding running back. He enters his first season with the Gamecocks after spending three years at Arkansas.

🔺 New Addition. Gamecock equestrian Head Coach Carol Gwin has completed her staff! Cathy Woosley Luse has taken the Assistant Western Coach and Recruiting Coordinator role. She competed at Midway University where she placed in the top-10 at nationals over Fences and on Flat, plus won a National Championship in Open Horsemanship. Her father is a National Reining Horse Association Hall of Fame inductee.

🔺 Hall Pass. Former Gamecock Quincy Hall is headed to the Olympic 400m final! He placed third overall in the semifinal yesterday with a 43.95 time. He’ll race for a medal today at 3:20 p.m. on NBC.
