My Time On The Green. Gamecock women’s golf starts a new season today at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Minnesota.

Last season’s squad made an epic run to the NCAA Quarterfinals, and three starters from that team NCAA Quarterfinals team are back on the green for the Gamecocks: All-Americans Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist and All-SEC Freshman Mia Sandtorv Lussand.

First and foremost, Gamecock women’s golf is a family. Go behind the scenes of last year’s run during the NCAA Championships to see what a tight-knit unit this is and how they’re planning to build off last season’s momentum heading into a new year.

Coming Home. And if you’re looking for the details on this week’s episode of Gamecock Talk, don’t fret! Travian Robertson, South Carolina alumni and current Gamecock defensive line coach, joins the podcast to talk about his homecoming to Columbia and what it’s been like to be back on the field in the Garnet & Black.

🔼 A Home Opener. South Carolina opened its home slate in Willy B on Saturday night in epic fashion! Spencer Rattler finished the night 25-of-27 for 345 yards and three touchdowns through the air and one on the ground before giving way to Luke Doty, then LaNorris Sellers who dropped an absolute dime for a 50-yard score. Go ahead, watch it one more time; we won’t tell anyone.

Here are some more of our favorite moments to get your week off to a great start:

🔼 Time For Tennis. South Carolina men’s tennis knows where it’ll spend the fall season. Head Coach Josh Goffi announced the team’s fall state with the Gamecock Ranked + Tournament getting underway on Friday before South Carolina travels to the ITA All-American Championships later this month. Check out the full schedule here.

🔼 To The Big Apple. If you’re looking to make plans for Thanksgiving, consider heading to the Big Apple with the Gamecocks! The Carolina Band will perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade for the first time ever. More than 100 bands applied and only ten earned selection to the parade.

🔼 300 Club. History at Stone Stadium! Head Coach Shelley Smith tallied her 300th win at the helm of South Carolina women’s soccer last night as the Gamecocks knocked off Furman, 2-0. Cat Barry opened the scoring for South Carolina before tallying the game’s second goal. You don’t want to miss Coach Smith’s post-win ice bath!

🤔 GAMECOCK TRIVIA

Halt The Ground Game. South Carolina held Furman to 80 yards on the ground on Saturday night. What is the lowest number of rushing yards allowed in the Shane Beamer era?
