Gamecocks Film Room. It was an all-around impressive performance from the Gamecocks in Lexington last Saturday, but only allowing a total of 44 passing yards in a game is next level. Join us in the film room as defensive backs coach Torrian Gray shows us how South Carolina was able to lock down the Wildcats' passing attack.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 To The Wire. South Carolina took a 17-0 lead against No. 16 LSU to start Saturday. The Tigers were still trailing in the final two minutes, but Josh Williams scored a touchdown for the LSU win. LaNorris Sellers and Rocket Sanders ran for two touchdowns each. Sanders rushed for 143 yards. The Tigers won, 36-33.

🔺 Cat-Trick. The 25th-ranked women’s soccer team defeated Georgia State in shutout fashion, 6-0. Cat Barry completed the first hat-trick of her career. Brianna Behm scored two goals and Katie Shea Collins scored one. The win was Coach Shelley Smith’s 350th of her career! The Gamecocks will begin SEC play at Georgia on Thursday.

🔺 Sunday Funday. The men’s soccer team also had some Sunday fun! They defeated East Tennessee State, 2-0. Ethan Ballek and Martin Yahia scored the Gamecock goals. They’ll begin Sun Belt play on Friday, hosting Marshall.

🔺 Diggin’ It. The volleyball team hosted three schools for a weekend tournament at home. They started the weekend by beating both FIU and Stetson, 3-1. Their seven-game win streak ended on Sunday when they fell to Wake Forest in four sets. They’ll host East Carolina tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.

🔺 Runner-Ups. The cross country team finished the Furman Invitational in second place with 51 points. Teresa Cherotich led the way, picking up her second individual win this season. Her 20:21.1 time was the third fastest in Gamecock history. Cate Conklin finished 14th overall, Anya Arroyo finished 16th, Emma Torbert finished 17th, and Abigail White finished 18th.
