🎥 TAILGATE TALKS

Tailgate Talks. Two of the best quarterbacks to ever come through South Carolina happened to be teammates and it led to some of the best years the program has ever seen. But with only one football to go around, it also procured competition, growth, and maybe a tiny bit of animosity.

However, all these years later, Connor Shaw and Stephen Garcia are closer than ey’ve ever been. With the help of their favorite fullback, they sit down to talk about those great times as a Gamecock, what life is like now, and everything in between on this episode of Tailgate Talks.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Gone Sweepin’. Gamecock volleyball defeated ECU in sweeping fashion last night. South Carolina held them to just 38 points in total, the lowest for the Gamecock defense since 2016. ECU only scored 9 points in each of the final two sets. Riley Whitesides dominated with 18 kills and a .615 hitting percentage.

🔺 Back-To-Back. Two meets, two SEC honors! Teresa Cherotich was named the SEC Freshman Runner of the Week after picking up her second collegiate win in as many meets. The rookie ran a 20:21.1 time at the Furman Invitational to help the Gamecocks to a second-place finish.

The Gamecock cross country team came in at No. 11 in the USTFCCCA Southeast Ranking. This is their highest regional ranking since 2013.

🔺 Cocky’s Costume Contest. Join us on October 27 for a fang-tastic Halloween with the Junior Gamecock Club! Kids can enjoy carnival games, a photo booth, dunk Gamecocks in the dunk tank, arts and crafts, and more! Dress in your best costumes for a chance to win Cocky’s Costume Contest.
