📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Record Scratch. A new Cross Country season opened in a big way this weekend when freshman runner Judy Kosgei set a South Carolina record in the 5K. Kosgei ran a 16:52.6 to bring the individual title back to Columbia. It’s the first time a Gamecock runner has ever finished a 5K in under 17 minutes.

🔼 Bump, Set, Spike. South Carolina volleyball is off to a hot 4-1 start after taking down Miami in a five-set classic on Friday night, and then defeating Troy on Sunday afternoon.

All but one of Friday’s five sets were decided by the required two points. Junior Lauren McCutcheon tallied a career-high 21 kills during the win over the Hurricanes, with three or more kills in every set. McCutcheon, who was born deaf, has an incredible story you don’t want to miss in this feature on Gamecocks+.
