📈 STOCK UP

🔼 An Overnight Star. Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy loved what he saw from Spencer Rattler on Saturday night.

“He’s got nice feel in the pocket, he got out of there a bunch,” Nagy said. “(He) put a ton of NFL throws on tape in that game that scouts are going to love. It’s the compromised pocket into tight windows. He was doing all that stuff and he lost arguably his best receiver in Juice Wells in the first half. He kind of turned Xavier Legette into an overnight star, he played his butt off the other night.”

And speaking of the Rattler-to-Legette connection, Legette landed on PFF’s Week 1 Team of the Week after his nine-catch, 178-yard explosion on Saturday night.

🔼 Block Party. Senior Ellie Ruprich earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting 25 total blocks in South Carolina volleyball’s wins over Clemson, Miami, and Troy. Ruprich averaged 1.92 blocks per set en route to earning the fourth weekly award of her career.

🔼 Run Wild. We’ve got yet another Gamecock grabbing recognition from the SEC! Judy Kosgei earned SEC Women’s Runner of the Week honors after setting a new school record in the 5K over the weekend. She’s the first person to earn SEC Women’s Runner of the Week since Heather Stone did it in 2018.

🔼 Folds Of Honor. Gamecock men’s golf is in second place after two days at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. South Carolina is three shots off the pace 36 holes in with 18 more to go today. The final round gets underway at 8:30am ET; you can catch some of the live action on the Golf Channel.
