🏆 2024 HALL OF FAME CLASS
Nine former Gamecock student-athletes have been selected to the USC Lettermen’s Association Hall of Fame as the Class of 2024. The class will be inducted on November 1 and recognized the next day at the South Carolina vs. Texas A&M football game.
Football: Pharoh Cooper (2013-15) & Melvin Ingram (2007-11)
Softball: Dana Fulmer (1992-95)
Track & Field: Bob Kaczka (1968-71), Jason Richardson (2005-09), Shalonda Solomon (2005-07)
Baseball: Tommy Moody (1970-72 / 1998-2023)
Women’s Basketball: Jocelyn Penn (1998-2003), Tiffany Mitchell (2012-16)

🔺 Five On It. The SEC named five Gamecocks to the Preseason Coaches All-SEC teams! Hunter Rogers earned first-team honors, while Rocket Sanders and Debo Williams landed on the second-team. Tonka Hemingway and Nick Emmanwori were named to the third-team. Gamecock football is just eight days away!
🔺 Lucky No. 7. The men’s soccer team started the season strong with a 7-1 win over Winthrop! The Gamecocks played in front of the second-largest crowd in Stone Stadium history. They scored four goals in a shutout first half and went on to score three in the second. Ethan Ballek was responsible for two goals, while Alejandro Velazquez-Lopez and Harrison Myring scored one a piece. Einar Ness, Grant Mateer, and Martin Yahia came off the bench to score a goal each. They’ll return to the pitch on Sunday as they host North Florida at 3 p.m.
🔺 Campbell For Campbell. Gamecock wide receiver Dalevon Campbell landed on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List! The award recognizes the top offensive player in college football who also exhibits characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, teamwork, performance, sportsmanship, and those kinds of things. The nominee must have played football at and graduated from a Texas High School or currently playing at a Texas DI four-year college.
🔺 Legacy Of Excellence. Soccer Wire listed South Carolina as No. 8 in their Top 50 Current NCAA Women’s Programs. With 17 NCAA Tournament appearances, three conference tournament championships, and three regular-season SEC championships, there’s no question that the Gamecocks are one of the best! After starting the season 1-0 with an SEC Offensive Player of the Week, South Carolina will host the College of Charleston on Sunday at 7 p.m.
