Gamecock Talk. Gamecock baseball hired its new head man last month! Legendary coach, Paul Mainieri, joins the Garnet & Black looking to add to his already decorated career in the SEC. On his first official day on the job, Mainieri sits down with Gamecocks+ to describe his unexpected path to Columbia, why he believes this is a perfect fit, and his expectations for Carolina baseball.

🔺 Academic Aces. The men’s and women’s tennis teams were named ITA All-Academic Teams! Four student-athletes from the men’s team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes — Connor Thomson, James Story, Toby Samuel, and Jelani Sarr. Three from the women’s team earned the same honors — Sarah Hamner, Olympe Lancelot, and Anna Kantor.

🔺 Everybody Loves Chris. Head baseball coach Paul Mainieri has named Chris Gordon as the Director of Player Development. He will be the Director of Analytics and the Camp Coordinator. He spent the last two seasons at the University of Texas.
