🔺 Strong Start. Team USA and A’ja Wilson started their 2024 Olympic run with a 26-point win over Japan! The former Gamecock produced a double-double, scoring a team-high 24 points and 13 rebounds. She added four blocks and four assists. Team USA will be back on the court to play Belgium on Thursday at 3 p.m.

🔺 Victory Monday. Former Gamecock Francisco Cerundolo opened the week with another win! He took down No. 10 Ugo Humbert of France in men’s singles play at the Olympics yesterday. Up next, he will play No. 6 Casper Ruud of Norway tomorrow.

🔺 Let’s Go. There are some changes to ticketing for fall sports at South Carolina! We’re introducing the Go Pass, a monthly subscription pass that provides access to all non-conference home football games, most men’s and women’s basketball and baseball games, plus all softball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball games. The Go Pass is $20 a month, a significant discount compared to single game tickets.

🔺 Ready For Liftoff. South Carolina running back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders is on the Maxwell Award Watch List! The award goes to the most outstanding player in college football. He enters his first season as a Gamecock after spending three years at Arkansas. Semifinalists for the award will be announced in November.

🏈 Long snapper Hunter Rogers was named to the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List. The award goes to the best FBS long snapper in the country. He has been an All-SEC performer for the last two seasons. Semifinalists will be announced in November as well.
