🔼 Four Scored. A total of four South Carolina golfers earned Scholar All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America—including rising junior Nathan Franks, rising senior Rafe Reynolds, rising super senior Lansdon Robbins, and rising junior Gene Zeigler.

All four players earned the distinction for the first time in their careers but this is no first time for head coach Bill McDonald—he now has 38 GCAA All-America Scholars in his 17 seasons as head coach.

🔼 Gamecocks In The Pros. It’s the dog days of August, but MLB playoff season is looming and these seven former Gamecocks are making some serious waves in the pros.

Clarke Schmidt is this week’s headliner now that he’s made 23 starts for the New York Yankees this year, striking out 110 batters in 115 innings pitched, and winning six of his last seven starts—including striking out seven in 5.1 innings in a win over the Chicago White Sox this past Tuesday.
