Tailgate Talks. Gameday in Columbia is right around the corner! Football is nearly back and Shane Beamer has big goals set out for his team this year. But before DiMarco and Garcia pick Coach's brain on the 2024 season, let's not forget these three go way back. Coach Beamer came to Columbia as an assistant the same year Pat and Stephen enrolled as freshmen at Carolina, and that gives us a whole new perspective on the glory days — and even the shenanigans — from back in the day.

🔺 Hit The Road, ‘Cocks. The No. 21 women’s soccer team hits the road for the first time this season as they head to Ohio. They’ll play No. 16 Ohio State today at 4 p.m. on B1G+. The Gamecocks are coming off a 4-1 win over the College of Charleston while the Buckeyes are coming off a 3-1 win over Ashland. This will be the first meeting between the programs.

🔺 Young Bucks. Two Gamecock football players were named to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year watch list! Redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers and true freshman EDGE Dylan Stewart made South Carolina one of eight schools with multiple candidates.
